Plymouth Pride CIC:

Plymouth Pride CIC was set up at the end of 2022 in order to keep Plymouth's pride event happening. It is committed to running Plymouth's annual pride event each year, as well as collaborating with others to run smaller events throughout the year.

We are looking for an experienced treasurer to manage our day to day accounts, invoicing and payments. They may also need to support in the management of monitoring and finalising trader applications.

This role requires a background in finance, good knowledge of maintaining accounts, good communication skills, be organised and methodical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain clear accounts for Plymouth Pride CIC;
  • To be a signatory on the bank account and to authorise payments;
  • Provide monthly financial reports for the directors meeting and bi-monthly for the Committee meetings;
  • Develop the Budget and Forecasting for Pride with Chairperson and other directors;
  • Liaise with Fundraising Director and the committee to provide full costings for fundraising activities;
  • Create invoices and statements, monitoring and chasing balances due;
  • Prepare the end of year accounts for AGM;
  • Manage and develop revenue streams (such as: Amazon Smile, Paypal, Donate National Funding Scheme, Rainbow Lottery, Easy Fundraising).
  • Present the accounts for verification from an independent qualified accountant, so they can be submitted to Companies House.

  • Maintain and manage a stall contact list;
  • Contact previous Stall holders and new, to invite to the event;
  • Contact other prides, to have promotional stall at their event;
  • Ensure invoices are created and payment is received for all stallholders;
  • Liaise with other committee members;
  • Manage stalls relationships and communication throughout the year;
  • Ensure communications and enquiries are responded to within a timely manner (SLA to be agreed and revised 1-month in advance of Pride event);
  • Liaise with Operations Director to create the stalls layout plan for the park and pitch allocation.
