Financial Reporting and Treasury Accountant - 2 days in office (Hybrid)

We are partnering with an international bank in London. An opportunity has come up for a finance professional to join a specialist reporting and control function. The role focuses on financial reporting, accounting oversight, regulatory compliance, and analysis of treasury-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of annual statutory financial statements, including disclosures and supporting schedules.
• Deliver regular management and performance reporting relating to treasury and market activities.
• Monitor and interpret accounting developments under international reporting standards, assessing their impact on financial results and disclosures.
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Perform detailed analysis of financial data to identify, investigate, and resolve accounting issues.
• Review transactions originating from treasury and investment activities to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Partner with operational and business teams to resolve booking, valuation, and reporting queries.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on financial instruments and treasury-related transactions.
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and reporting automation initiatives.
• Review journals and reconciliations to ensure quality and accuracy of financial records.
• Coach and support junior colleagues and new team members.
• Ensure compliance with internal control standards and external reporting obligations.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and provide supporting documentation.
• Participate in finance transformation, system migration, testing, and implementation projects.
• Undertake additional assignments as required by management.
