Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment have been engaged by our PE backed client to source a Treasury Accountant on a staff basis. This role will be based in Bridge of Don on a hybrid basis (one day at home per week) with flexible working. Our client will consider candidates on a full time or 4 day per week basis.
The Opportunity
- Managing company banking – online banking, receipts and payments allocations, direct debits, bulk payment lists, daily bank reporting, period reconciliations etc
- Payment runs – prepare weekly payment run files, set up payments in the bank
- Daily sales invoice reporting
- Support with weekly 13 week cashflow
- Support the finance team with management of the company invoice discounting facility
- Credit control responsibilities – chase customers, works with operations team to recover cash due, hold regular meetings internally to review debt and discuss actions taken etc
- Management of new suppliers and customers processes
- Keep Accounts inbox organised and up to date, allocate queries to the rest of accounts team
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with operational leads to enhance operational performance
- Provide strong accounting support to the Finance team
- Review expense claims, seek appropriate approvals if required, ensure payments made promptly
- Month end tasks – ensure purchase and cash ledgers are closed by the deadlines, prepare treasury related Balance Sheet reconciliations

Background and Experience
- Previous treasury experience
- Experience in financial software Sage 200 (desirable)
- Experience with administration of an invoice discounting facility
- Highly motivated individual with the initiative to work under pressure in fast paced role
- Well organised and be flexible to support the team with a wide range of duties in order to meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills will be key to the role as you interact with a wide range of people internally and externally
