Treasury Analyst

Location: London, UK
Contract Type: Contract Position (12 Months, Extendable)
Start Date: ASAP
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday (Hybrid Working)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Treasury Analyst to join a dynamic, recently established holding company focused on E&P gas portfolios. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is comfortable operating at both strategic and transactional levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support core treasury and financing activities for the company and its subsidiaries, including maintaining all bank accounts, cashflow forecasting, and liquidity planning.
  • Manage bank accounting processes, including postings, reconciliations, clearing, and alignment with bank statements in SAP.
  • Monitor financing covenant compliance and prepare internal, Board, and lender reporting materials.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain company bank financing facilities and ensure accurate recording of loan facilities in ledgers.
  • Identify and manage foreign exchange and interest rate risk exposure, implementing hedging policies as needed.
  • Interface with ICT to maintain appropriate computer systems for treasury operations.
  • Monitor group funding, debt, capital structure, and financial exposures, supporting financing activities and capital allocation in line with group priorities.
  • Produce timely reports analysing cash flow streams retrospectively and prospectively.
  • Ensure compliance with group treasury policy and update as necessary.
  • Prepare financial analysis, reports, and presentations to support financing and capital structure decisions.
  • Support engagement with banks, rating agencies, and other stakeholders, and contribute to treasury projects.

Requirements

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • University Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or equivalent.

Experience & Technical Competencies

  • Deep understanding of financing structures and management of hedging strategies.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SAP.
  • Financial modelling capability with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial information and clearly articulate insights and implications.
  • 2+ years' experience in corporate finance, transaction services, or treasury.
  • Numerate with a good understanding of money markets and foreign exchange.
