Description
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Treasury & Tax Manager to join our finance team. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the organisation's tax compliance, planning and reporting obligations, while leading treasury operations including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, foreign exchange management and banking relationships.
The successful candidate will ensure effective financial governance, regulatory compliance and robust cash management practices while supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
What you will do?
Treasury Management
- Develop and maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Manage banking relationships and oversee the operation of company bank accounts.
- Ensure optimal liquidity levels and the efficient use of cash across the organisation.
- Manage foreign exchange (FX) exposure and hedging activities where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with treasury policies, controls and internal risk management frameworks.
- Support funding initiatives and manage intercompany funding structures where required.
Tax Management
- Manage all aspects of direct and indirect tax compliance, including Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE/NIC.
- Oversee the preparation, review and timely submission of tax returns in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors.
- Monitor and interpret changes in UK and international tax legislation, advising senior stakeholders on potential business impacts.
- Lead tax planning initiatives to optimise the organisation's tax position while maintaining full compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact with HMRC and other tax authorities.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.

Who you are
You will be a qualified finance professional with strong technical expertise across both treasury and tax disciplines, coupled with excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Essential Skills & Experience
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a tax and/or treasury role.
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and treasury management practices.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process enhancement.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working within a professional services or legal industry environment.
