Do you have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and an interest in developing your career in finance? We're looking for a Treasury Assistant to join our busy Treasury team, where you'll play an important role in managing and optimising our cash flows while building valuable experience across the wider finance function.

If you're looking for an opportunity to grow your knowledge, develop your skills and gain hands-on experience in a specialist area of finance, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll contribute to the success of the team by:

  • Producing daily and monthly reconciliations for circa 100 bank accounts.
  • Maintaining Cashbooks and journaling into the General Ledger – averaging 500 transactions a month on the main bank account.
  • Preparing intercompany transfers for movement of funds.
  • Inputting exceptional payments on our banking system, following strict processes.
  • Responding to internal customer and external supplier queries, ensuring all issues are investigated, resolved and/or escalated in a timely manner.

Our ideal candidate? We're seeking a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail who can work to their own initiative. Your CV and Cover Letter will demonstrate the following:

  • An understanding of the services that Treasury functions provide and how those services contribute to a financially strong Housing organisation.
  • Experience of producing bank reconciliations and maintaining journals and cashbooks, or a strong willingness to develop these skills.
  • Some experience of finance related matters and working with numbers such as calculating NET and Gross values using VAT, Data entry and reconciliations etc.
  • Practical experience of using Excel to review numeric information.
  • Strong communication skills, face to face, over the phone and via email with the ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders effectively.

This role is based from our Birmingham, Bath Row office a minimum of 3 days per week. Based on business needs, there may be times you're required onsite more frequently.
