Summary
Support the Treasury function with the accurate and timely management of bank accounts, payments, cash movements, and intercompany transactions across the business.
The Role
Sofina Foods Ltd is looking for a Treasury Assistant to join our team in Leeds. This role will provide support across the day-to-day Treasury function, with responsibility for bank account reconciliations, banking payments, cash management, and intercompany transfers.
Working closely with the wider Finance team, you will help ensure cash movements and banking activities are processed accurately and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to develop their career within Treasury.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile UK bank accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Process banking payments and ensure transactions are completed accurately and within deadlines
- Manage intercompany transfers and ensure transactions are correctly recorded
- Support with cash forecasting and management of bank balances
- Support with foreign currency requirements and other treasury activities
- Maintain accurate treasury records and provide information for reporting and analysis
- Liaise with internal teams and banking contacts to resolve queries and payment issues
- Ensure treasury processes are completed in line with company policies and controls
- Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes and efficiency
- Provide wider support to the Finance team as required

The Ideal Candidate
- AAT Level 4 qualified or equivalent
- Previous experience in a finance environment, ideally with experience in Treasury, cash management, or banking
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Previous SAP experience would be advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player
