Treasury Business Analyst (Agency)

Location: London
Work Style: Office-based
Salary: £180 daily

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Treasury function of a well-established international bank in London, offering broad exposure across Treasury Business Management, Financial Markets and strategic business initiatives.

Working closely with Treasury, Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations and Technology teams, you will play a key role in supporting Treasury reporting, business management, governance, regulatory initiatives and business change projects. You'll also contribute to system enhancements, process improvements and management reporting, while developing a deeper understanding of Treasury products, market activities and banking operations.

This role would suit candidates with experience in Treasury Operations, Treasury Business Management, Trading Support, Middle Office, Market Risk or Financial Markets who are looking to broaden their experience beyond day-to-day operations and move into a wider business-facing role within an international banking environment. It offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, cross-functional projects and the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing Treasury team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day business management of the Treasury department, helping to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Prepare regular and management information (MI), business reports and performance analysis for senior management, Head Office and internal committees.
  • Monitor Treasury activities, including trading and counterparty limits, and highlight any issues or exceptions where appropriate.
  • Keep Treasury policies, procedures and process documentation up to date.
  • Assist with Treasury projects, including system enhancements, regulatory initiatives and process improvement work.
  • Work with business users to gather requirements and prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications and process documentation.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new systems and enhancements, ensuring business requirements have been met before implementation.
  • Analyse Treasury data and management information to identify trends and support business decision-making.
  • Carry out market research covering Foreign Exchange, Money Markets, Fixed Income products and wider market developments.
  • Support budgeting, business planning and other departmental initiatives.
  • Liaise with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, Compliance and Technology teams on day-to-day activities and project work.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and help ensure Treasury activities are carried out in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting, making effective use of Excel and other reporting tools where appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
