Treasury Clerk

Location: City of London

Employment Type: Permanent

Reports to: Treasury Manager

We are looking for a Treasury Clerk to join the Treasury team of a leading global financial services firm based in the City of London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in international payments, cash management and banking operations who wants to develop their career within a busy treasury function.

The Role

You will support the Treasury team with its day-to-day operational processes and controls, including managing international payments and receipts, monitoring cash positions and completing daily reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and process cash receipts, ensuring the correct client accounts are credited promptly
  • Initiate payments across various banking platforms
  • Manage payment processes and systems
  • Maintain client and banking partner settlement instructions (SSIs)
  • Complete daily bank account reconciliations
  • Process cash management transactions and corporate payments
  • Process invoices, receipts, interest and banking charges
  • Log and investigate interest claims and non-receipts
  • Liaise with banks regarding payment queries, SWIFT copies and GPI audit trails
  • Assist with internal and external operational and financial audits
  • Maintain and improve treasury procedures, controls and reporting

  • Experience within banking, treasury or financial operations
  • Knowledge of international payments and SWIFT messages
  • Strong reconciliation and cash management experience
  • Good analytical skills and an interest in automation and process improvement
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work accurately within daily deadlines
  • Reliable, organised and highly professional
  • A strong commitment to integrity and ethical behaviour
