Treasury Manager

Hybrid | 1–2 days per week in Barrow-in-Furness | Flexible hybrid working

Salary: up to £70,000 + up to 10% bonus + excellent benefits

We are delighted to be partnering with the Furness Building Society to recruit a key role within its Treasury function.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, analytical, and collaborative Treasury professional to join the Society as Treasury Manager. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a central role in supporting the effective management of the Society’s Treasury and Asset & Liability Management (ALM) activities.

Reporting to the Group Treasurer, you will provide high-quality analysis, forecasting, and insight to support informed decision-making and help ensure the Society maintains a strong and effective balance sheet.

  • Coordinating the preparation of ALCO papers and producing clear, insightful Treasury reporting and dashboards for senior management committees.
  • Leading asset and liability forecasting, including financial modelling of the company balance sheet and key regulatory ratios.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of the liquidity, funding, and hedging strategies.
  • Overseeing liquidity stress testing, regulatory reporting, and the ongoing review of Treasury policies, controls, and prudential limits.
  • Working collaboratively across the business and with external providers to improve Treasury systems, reporting, and decision-making.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A part or full accountancy qualification, such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, or a part or full Treasury qualification, such as CertBALM or AMCT.
  • Experience within a Treasury or Asset and Liability Management function in a bank or building society.
  • Strong financial modelling and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using financial planning systems or MI and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex Treasury information into clear insights for senior management and the Board.
