Chalk Hill Group are supporting an established organisation through a significant period of business transformation and are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Treasury Manager to join the Finance team on a 9-month fixed-term basis.
This is a newly created role with significant responsibility and visibility. You will take ownership of the organisation’s financial assets, cash flow and liquidity, working closely with the Finance Director and wider leadership team to minimise financial risk, manage key funding relationships and optimise working capital.
Key Responsibilities
Cash & Liquidity Management
- Oversee day-to-day cash management and ensure effective liquidity across the business.
- Produce accurate short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
- Work closely with Finance, Operations and project teams to ensure business transformation and integration plans are accurately reflected in cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor liquidity requirements and proactively identify potential funding needs.
Banking & Funding Relationships
- Act as the key day-to-day contact for banking and funding partners.
- Manage credit facilities and banking arrangements, including reviewing and negotiating fees where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financing, intercompany lending, asset-backed finance and hire purchase agreements.
- Maintain strong and effective relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.

Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare regular cash flow and liquidity reporting, including detailed variance analysis.
- Investigate and explain key movements and trends within cash flow.
- Prepare forecasts relating to cash flow, net debt and financial covenants.
- Provide clear insight and recommendations to senior Finance stakeholders regarding cash utilisation, funding requirements and drawdowns.
Investment & Capital Optimisation
- Work with senior Finance stakeholders to identify appropriate opportunities for investing surplus cash.
- Ensure short-term investments balance the objectives of maximising returns while maintaining appropriate levels of security and liquidity.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Lead the ongoing development and improvement of treasury processes, systems and controls.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improved forecasting capability.
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure treasury processes are robust, efficient and fit for purpose.
Experience and Qualifications
Treasury experience
- Proven experience in a Treasury Manager or similar senior treasury role, ideally gained within a complex organisation or during a period of business transformation, integration, refinancing or restructuring.

Professional qualification
- A relevant qualification such as ACT/AMCT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA is desirable.
Technical expertise
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrable experience in cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, liquidity management and covenant reporting.
Stakeholder management
- The confidence and communication skills to build effective relationships with banking partners, senior Finance stakeholders and wider business teams.
Commercial approach
- The ability to understand the wider business context and translate treasury information into practical recommendations.
