Purpose of the Role

This is a high impact role within a small, expert Treasury team based in Leeds. The Treasury Manager will take ownership of key risk management responsibilities — principally Counterparty Credit Risk and Liquidity Risk — across a very significant portfolio of client cash. As part of a small team, the role carries real breadth: the successful candidate will be expected to act as Treasury Dealer when required, placing deposits and managing activity within policy and regulatory limits, as well as undertaking rigorous analytical and forecasting work.

The role also demands the confidence to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, including executive directors, and when required deputise for the Head of Treasury.

This is an exciting time to join: the team has recently implemented FIS Integrity as its Treasury Management System and is actively developing the use of AI tooling to enhance Treasury operations. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to both strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management

  • Own and maintain the framework for Counterparty Credit Risk and Liquidity Risk across the client cash portfolio
  • Design, run, and interpret risk analysis and scenario modelling (stress tests, sensitivity analyses, what-if scenarios)
  • Perform cashflow forecasting to support liquidity risk management, identifying and escalating potential pressures proactively
  • Monitor risk exposures against internal risk appetite and escalate where appropriate
  • Develop and maintain a sound understanding of the drivers of both counterparty credit and liquidity risk

Treasury Dealing

  • Act as Treasury Dealer when required, ensuring continuity of dealing capability within the small team
  • Place deposits with approved counterparties in line with internal policy, risk appetite, and regulatory limits
  • Manage dealing activity within CASS and MIFIDPRU requirements, maintaining accurate records and audit trails
  • Exercise sound judgement in execution, operating confidently within a framework of policy and regulatory constraints

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
