Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Treasury Project Manager to establish and lead a new Treasury Back-Office function. This is a unique opportunity to build new processes, controls and ways of working from the ground up, ensuring robust governance and operational excellence across treasury activities.

The role is responsible for embedding a strong control environment across treasury operations, including settlements, payment execution, reconciliations, banking administration and treasury system processes. The successful candidate will help build a scalable operating model that supports the organisation's future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the organisation's Treasury Back-Office function, embedding robust processes, controls and governance to support a standalone treasury operating model.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate settlement of treasury transactions, payment execution, reconciliations and banking administration activities.
  • Maintain a strong controls environment, ensuring compliance with internal policies, audit requirements and regulatory expectations.
  • Identify, escalate and resolve control issues, driving a culture of accountability and risk awareness across treasury activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day treasury operational activities, ensuring efficient, effective and well-controlled processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process simplification, standardisation and automation.
  • Support the development and enhancement of treasury policies, procedures and operating standards.
  • Ensure bank mandates, signatory arrangements and treasury documentation remain accurate and up to date, noting that Group Treasury retains the governance framework and signatory authority.
  • Drive the adoption of technology-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency, control and scalability across treasury operations.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Treasury Back-Office team, creating a high-performing and collaborative environment. Build strong relationships internally and external banking partners.
  • Coordinate workflows, deliverables and timelines across locations, role modelling strong, values-led leadership throughout delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
