About Volta

Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform – from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.

About The Role

As our first dedicated treasury hire, you will own cash, liquidity, funding and financial risk across a multi-entity, multi-currency group. You will safeguard a nine-figure cash base, manage FX and counterparty risk, build our treasury policy and controls from the ground up, and support the debt financing that underpins our infrastructure build-out. This is a hands-on, build-it role with a clear path to Head of Treasury as we scale.

What You Will Be Doing

Cash and liquidity

  • Manage group cash across entities and currencies; maintain rolling liquidity and burn forecasts against the capex and operating plan.
  • Select and manage short-term investments (money market funds, deposits, T-bills) within board-approved limits, balancing yield, liquidity and capital preservation.

FX and interest-rate risk

  • Identify, measure and manage FX exposure across a USD-functional group with GBP and EUR balances; recommend and execute hedging where appropriate.
  • Monitor interest-rate exposure as debt facilities come on stream.

Banking and treasury operations

  • Own banking relationships, mandates, signatories and payment controls; lead bank onboarding and rationalization as we scale beyond current providers.
  • Manage day-to-day treasury operations, settlements and cash positioning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
