Job Advertisement: Treasury Specialist

Location: City of London

Day Rate: £200 - £260 per day

Duration: 3 months with a view to permanence


Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treasury Associate to join our dynamic and growing financial services firm. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment, supporting the Group Treasury department in both day-to-day operations and long-term development initiatives. Responsibilities

As a Treasury Associate, you will:

  • Support the Director and Assistant Manager in managing the daily operations of the Group Treasury.
  • Analyze daily funding requirements and prepare Note Issuances for banks and trustees.
  • Accurately record all treasury transactions, including money market and foreign exchange, into the IT2 Treasury system.
  • Assist in managing liquidity, funding, and foreign exchange positions to high professional standards.
  • Contribute to the development and streamlining of the group treasury function to align with business growth.
  • Support the management and development of banking relationships.
  • Provide risk analysis and assist with ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in operations or treasury within a financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and deliver results against deadlines.
  • A proactive self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of commercial and investment banking products is advantageous but not essential.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience is a plus.

Day-to-Day

Your typical day will involve:

  • Monitoring and analyzing funding requirements.
  • Preparing and submitting treasury-related documentation.
  • Recording and reconciling financial transactions in the IT2 Treasury system.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth treasury operations.
  • Engaging with banking partners to maintain and develop relationships.
  • Assisting in the implementation of process improvements and strategic initiatives.
