The Role
We are looking for a Treasury Trainee to join our Finance team at Head Office.
This is an entry-level opportunity designed specifically for someone with a genuine passion for treasury and corporate finance, rather than a general interest in accounting or broad finance. Working alongside our Group Treasurer and an experienced Treasury team, you will gain hands-on exposure to how we manage our financial assets, liabilities, and liquidity.
As a Treasury Trainee, you will play an active role in day-to-day operations while building specialist knowledge in corporate treasury management. You will support the team across cash management, foreign exchange risk, and financial reporting.
What You Will Take On
- Assist with daily cash management, including cash flow forecasting and monitoring liquidity.
- Support the management of foreign exchange (FX) exposures, assisting with accurate reporting and execution.
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual treasury reports to ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Support the administration and accurate reporting of intercompany loans.
- Contribute to treasury projects, including systems updates and process improvements.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Finance department to provide treasury insights.
- Build a solid understanding of debt management, risk management, and wider treasury operations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
