Trelya Community Café Assistant / Barista – Permanent 29 Hours – Penzance
£12.71 per hour | up to 29 hours per week | Monday–Thursday | No weekends
The Community Café at Trelya is a friendly, bright and welcoming space serving Penzance East and beyond.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Café Assistant / Barista to join our team in Penzance on a permanent basis. Job share considered – if you are interested in a job-share arrangement, please indicate this on your application form. You do not need to identify or arrange a job-share partner yourself.

The Role
You will be involved in the day-to-day running of the café, including:
- Welcoming and serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Taking orders and handling payments
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks
- Preparing and serving food

Requirements
Previous café, hospitality or barista experience is essential as well as a positive attitude, reliability and good customer service are just as important. No formal qualifications required (GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths are desirable).
