Position Overview

NorMed, a paramedic operated service based in the UK, is seeking experienced Allied Health Care Professionals for the role of Remote Triage Clinician. This position involves providing remote triage services, with a focus on patient safety, efficient case management, and effective communication with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out remote triage across a wide range of presentations, including giving clinical advice, booking appointments, and signposting patients to the most appropriate clinician or service, such as Pharmacy First or community-based services. Where a patient's needs can likely be resolved in a brief consultation, contact them directly by phone.
  • Collaborate with GPs, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and on-site paramedics to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Work closely with a Care Navigator to identify cases suitable for triage and streamline the patient flow within the system.
  • Ensure patient safety by implementing traditional safety netting practices and documenting interactions with patients.
  • Make follow-up phone calls to confirm adherence to proposed plans, provide clarification, or gather additional information.
  • Demonstrate a high level of alertness and attention to detail, particularly in cases requiring a quick resolution or additional examination.
  • Utilise IT skills, with proficiency in EMIS being a bonus, to efficiently manage remote triage sessions.
  • Adhere to fixed session durations, aiming to triage/ manage 45 - 50 patients within a 4-hour timeframe.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
