Greenhous is looking for an experienced Trim & MET Technician
As a Trim & MET Technician, you’ll play an important role in the repair and preparation of vehicles, carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim removal and refitting to a high standard.
You’ll work alongside our wider workshop and repair teams, using your technical knowledge and practical skills to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer standards.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician to join a professional team and work on a variety of modern vehicles while continuing to develop your skills.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Hours: 7.00 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid), i.e. 45 hours per week.
Salary: Dependent on experience, will be discussed at interview stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim removal and refitting.
- Removing and refitting components including bumpers, lights, panels, seats, dashboards and other vehicle trim.
- Working with vehicle electrical systems, wiring, sensors and technology.
- Carrying out mechanical work associated with vehicle repairs.
- Following manufacturer repair methods and procedures.
- Identifying and reporting any additional faults or damage.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and to a high standard.
- Working closely with the wider workshop and repair teams.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Ideally, we are looking for:
- Previous experience as a Trim & MET Technician.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Experience removing and refitting vehicle components and trim.
- Good understanding of modern vehicle electrical systems and technology.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow manufacturer repair procedures.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant technical qualifications are desirable but not essential where the candidate has strong practical experience.
