Aspion are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to work on a Royal Mail contract with Kamac, starting week commencing 9th November. The main role will involve traction and shunting work, moving trailers and cages around Royal Mail sites. - Valid Driver CPC.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

- Comfortable using apps for compliance checks and work-related requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Pay & Shifts
- £260 – Day shifts
- £270 – Night shifts
- £300 – Saturday
- £310 – Sunday
The operation runs 24 hours a day, so a range of start times will be available. Drivers who are available for less conventional start times, such as 2:00am starts, may have the opportunity to secure a regular recurring shift pattern.
Spare Driver Shifts
There are also opportunities for spare driver shifts. These will be specifically booked and paid as 4 or 5-hour spare shifts, with a payment of £150. Where a driver is booked for a standard 12-hour shift, they will be paid for the full 12 hours even if they are not required to work for the entire shift, subject to the agreed booking arrangement. Shifts can sometimes flex depending on operational requirements, so flexibility is important.

Important Information
The majority of the work will be on the Royal Mail contract, however, drivers must be aware that there is also a possibility of being required to complete general haulage work when operationally necessary. This is an important part of the role and will be explained clearly during the recruitment process. By accepting the position, drivers must be comfortable with the possibility of being allocated general haulage work as well as the Royal Mail contract.
