Truck Mixer Driver - Witney

Purpose of the Role

As a Truck Mixer Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring that Smiths Concrete products are delivered to customers safely, efficiently, and on time. You will represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining high standards of customer service while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver concrete products to customers in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Uphold the professional standards and reputation of the company at all times.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety requirements, Environmental procedures, Working Time Directive regulations, Road Transport Law, and company policies.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle and associated equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.
  • Complete and maintain all vehicle records and documentation in accordance with current legislation and company procedures.
  • Follow all company personnel, administration, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure waste disposal, water discharge, and dust emissions are managed in line with environmental requirements.
  • Carry out deliveries in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible.
  • Maintain punctual and reliable attendance to support operational requirements.
  • Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your Line Manager.

What We're Looking For

  • A valid HGV driving licence (appropriate class).
  • A professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong awareness of road transport legislation and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and vehicle care.
  • Reliable, flexible, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
