We are currently recruiting for a Trust Accountant to join our Trust and Wealth Services department in our Leatherhead office!

The Trust Accounting Team

The Trust Accounting team provides sophisticated trustee, trust administration and trust accounting services. We specialise in the production of accounts for Trusts and Charities as well as providing administration services to Trusts. Our clients are typically High Net Wealth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Wealth (UHNW) individuals or families, each of whom are unique and receive a precisely tailored service.

What You'll Do

The role of Trust Accountant involves preparing trust accounts and tax returns for UK and non-UK trusts, estates, and high net worth individuals, as well as administering these trusts and liaising with trustees and advisors.

As a Trust Accountant the day to day will encompass:

  • The preparation of trust accounts and trust tax returns for UK and non UK trusts and estates
  • The administration of these trusts, including liaison with trustees and other advisors
  • Preparation of accounts and tax returns for trusts, charities, estates and high net worth individuals
  • Preparation of tax pool computations for offshore trusts, administration of trusts, charities and estates

Requirements

The main criteria for anyone applying for this position is a combination of strong trust accounting skills and an awareness of onshore and offshore trust taxation matters. Other accounting and taxation experience will be considered if it is transferable. Ideally you will have worked in an environment where it is necessary to deliver accurate information on a timely basis.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Experience in trust accounting and aspects of trust taxation
  • Able to delegate and supervise junior staff
  • Able to work under pressure and in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent IT skills and a desire to continually develop these
  • Able to communicate effectively with contacts in the appropriate medium
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workflow and ensure the timely delivery of client work
