TRUST MANAGER / TRUST SENIOR / LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE
Our client is seeking a Trust Manager of Trust Senior to join their Liverpool City Centre office and become part of a collaborative team of accountants specialising in trust and estate matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in private client, trust or estate work who is looking to further develop their expertise through exposure to a varied and interesting client portfolio.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of trust and estate compliance services, working closely with colleagues to provide high-quality support to trustees, executors and beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of trust and estate compliance matters.
- Preparing trust and estate tax returns and ensuring compliance with relevant deadlines.
- Assisting with trust and estate accounting assignments.
- Supporting trust registration and ongoing administration through the Trust Registration Service (TRS).
- Liaising with clients, professional advisers and HMRC where required.
- Assisting with inheritance tax (IHT) compliance matters, including the preparation of IHT returns.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with current legislation and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Experience in trust and estate compliance work.
- Good understanding of trust and estate taxation and related compliance obligations.
- Experience of trust and estate accounting.
- Familiarity with the Trust Registration Service.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience preparing inheritance tax (IHT) returns.
- Experience using CCH software for trust, tax and accounting work.
- Private client experience gained within an accountancy practice, legal practice or professional services environment.
- ATT and/or STEP qualifications.

While experience of inheritance tax & IHT returns would be advantageous, full training and support can be provided in this area for the right candidate. Our client are committed to investing time in the development of the team and supporting ongoing professional growth.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of trusts, estates and private clients, gaining exposure to complex and rewarding assignments within a supportive and experienced team environment. It would particularly suit someone with a foundation in private client work who is looking to build a long-term career specialising in trust and estate matters.
