Job Purpose

Reporting to the VP Trust, AI & Privacy, the Trust, AI & Privacy Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of RWS's global privacy and AI compliance program. Working within the strategy and direction set by the VP Trust, AI & Privacy, the Program Manager ensures the program operates effectively, remains sustainable over the long term, and continues to mature, and contributes to its ongoing development through practical, on-the-ground execution.

This role translates strategy into practical, company-wide operations, ensuring effective governance, accountability, and risk management across all RWS functions and markets. Working closely with stakeholders across Legal, Security, Technology, Product, HR, and other business functions, the Program Manager will drive program execution, coordinate key initiatives, support incident response and audit readiness, and help mature RWS's approach to privacy, AI governance, and information security.

The successful candidate will bring a combination of privacy and compliance expertise, program management capability, and a strong interest in information security. They will be comfortable operating at the intersection of privacy, AI governance, and cyber security, driving initiatives, managing risk, and embedding best practices across a global organization.

The Legal and Professional Advisory team, led by our General Counsel and Company Secretary, Jane Hyde, includes the Legal, Company Secretarial, Data Privacy, and ESG functions which provide critical business partnering to our Divisional operations and help drive the Group’s risk management, regulatory, governance, and sustainability agendas. You will be part of a diverse and international team working across our global operations which span a footprint of over 100 legal entities in 43 different countries worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution and continuous improvement of RWS's global Trust, AI & Privacy program and roadmap.
  • Coordinate cross-functional privacy, AI governance, and compliance initiatives across multiple business functions and geographies.
  • Maintain privacy and AI risk management processes, including risk registers, impact assessments, data mapping, and records of processing activities.
  • Manage governance forums, stakeholder engagement activities, and program reporting.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of key Trust initiatives, including governance frameworks, compliance toolkits, and awareness programs.
  • Administer and optimize privacy and governance tools, including OneTrust and related workflows.
  • Coordinate privacy incident management activities in partnership with Security and Technology teams.
  • Act as the operational point of contact for privacy audits, both client-facing and internal.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, training materials, and compliance documentation.
  • Produce program metrics, reporting, and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Privacy, Security, Compliance, Information Technology, Information Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years' proven hands-on experience managing privacy, security, governance, risk, and compliance programs in complex, multinational technology or professional services environments (interfacing across Legal & Compliance, Information Security, Technology, Product, and Sales). Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in information security alongside privacy.
  • Working knowledge of key privacy regulations (e.g., EU GDPR, UK DPA) and key industry frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST).
  • Deep hands-on proficiency in privacy management and governance, risk, and compliance software tools (e.g., OneTrust Assessment Automation, Risk Register, Data Mapping).
  • Demonstrated program and project management experience, with the ability to drive initiatives independently across multiple stakeholders.
  • Practical exposure to or working knowledge of AI frameworks and the evolving AI policy landscape.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into practical business guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPM, CIPP/E, AIGP, or similar privacy, governance, risk, or security certifications.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies, cloud security, AI, machine learning, or data analytics environments.
