Help secure the future of a charity that older people depend on

Age UK North Craven is an independent local charity supporting around 2,000 older people every year, along with their families and carers. Our services are valued, trusted and needed more than ever, but like many charities, we are facing significant funding challenges.

We are seeking an experienced and highly effective freelance fundraiser with a strong track record in securing income from trusts, foundations, statutory funders, and National Lottery programmes. This is a hands-on assignment for someone who can quickly identify opportunities, develop compelling applications, and generate income at pace.

Your mission: Secure funding to cover core costs over the next six months and help stabilise the organisation's future.

This is an opportunity to make a tangible difference to a charity at a pivotal moment while helping shape a stronger, more sustainable fundraising approach for the longer term.

What you'll do

• Identify and prioritise high-potential funding opportunities with the greatest likelihood of success and return on investment.
• Develop, write, and submit persuasive, evidence-led funding applications.
• Build a strong pipeline of prospects and manage applications from research through to decision and reporting.
• Work closely with staff and trustees to develop fundable projects, budgets, and outcomes.
• Produce high-quality reports that demonstrate impact and strengthen funder relationships.
• Maintain excellent stewardship with existing and prospective funders to encourage repeat and longer-term support.
• Keep abreast of funding trends and emerging opportunities.
• Provide regular updates to the senior leadership team and Board to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Help build fundraising confidence and capability across the organisation.
