Applications are invited for a trust-grade Stroke Medicine registrar to join the team at the Royal London Hospital. This post is available immediately.
This is a middle-grade post providing medical cover to the 26-bedded stroke unit at the Royal London Hospital. These comprise 12 hyperacute (HASU) beds serving the inner north east sector of London (one of the 8 London HASUs) plus 14 acute stroke unit (ASU) beds for Tower Hamlets.

There is a resident out-of-hours on-call commitment working a 1:9 rota covering thrombolysis and thrombectomy calls, stroke referrals, and stroke inpatients. This post attracts an on-call banding supplement as per the new contract.

You will be joining the department at a particularly exciting time, having been commissioned as one of the 5 thrombectomy centres in London. You will be working as part of a highly committed team in one of the largest hospitals in Europe with state-of-the-art facilities for stroke.
