Contract: Permanent
Location: Home based, with occasional travel for organisational meetings, fundraising events and visits to our Centres in Derbyshire and Cornwall
About Go Beyond
Go Beyond gives children facing extraordinary challenges the chance to escape the pressures of everyday life and experience the fun, friendship and adventure of childhood. We provide free, five-day residential breaks for children aged 8–13 from across the UK at our Centres in Cornwall and Derbyshire. For over 30 years, we have been helping children build confidence, make new friends, try new things and create memories that can last a lifetime. We have ambitious plans for the future, and fundraising is central to making them happen.
About the role
Trusts and Foundations are a vital part of Go Beyond’s fundraising, helping us provide our breaks completely free of charge to children and their families. We are looking for a Trust Fundraiser to join our growing Fundraising Team and help us build relationships with charitable trusts, foundations and grant-makers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is a strong writer, confident communicator and brilliant storyteller. You might already have experience in trusts fundraising, or you may bring transferable skills and be looking to develop your fundraising career.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team to research prospective funders, write compelling funding applications, steward existing supporters and demonstrate the difference their funding makes to children’s lives.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of Trusts, Foundations and grant providers
- Researching new funding opportunities and prospective supporters
- Writing high-quality, compelling funding proposals and applications
- Providing excellent stewardship to existing funders through reports, updates, meetings, site visits and events
- Working towards agreed fundraising targets and objectives
- Working closely with colleagues across Go Beyond to gather impact data, case studies, photographs and stories that bring our work to life
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date supporter information on our database
- Preparing reports and evaluations on funding applications and activity
- Helping ensure our supporters are appropriately recognised and thanked
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging and persuasive content for different audiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence building relationships by email, telephone and face-to-face
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
- Good research and analytical skills
- A proactive approach and strong self-management skills
- Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team
- A willingness to learn, develop and embrace new challenges
- A positive, solutions-focused approach
Experience of Trusts and Foundations fundraising would be an advantage, but is not essential.
