Trust Doctor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
We are inviting applications to fill two Trust Doctor vacancies at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This post will commence as soon after 1st of September 2026 as possible and end on 31st of August 2027, fixed term for 1 year.
Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council or General Dental Council and hold a license to practice by the intended start date.
Job Summary
We are inviting applications to fill our Clinical Fellow vacancies at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the Oral and Maxillofacial Department. This post is aimed at individuals who wish to extend their experience of maxillofacial surgery; tailored job plans are available for those interested in research or teaching, and if appropriately qualified, support will be given in achieving CST competencies or DCT3 equivalence. We offer exposure to the full breadth of the specialty in a supported learning environment. This is a one-year contract commencing on the 03/09/2026. Part-time/job share applicants will be considered. Candidates must be registered with the General Medical Council or General Dental Council and hold a license to practice.

The oral and maxillofacial unit at Leeds is a large major trauma and oncology unit comprising of 11 consultants with subspecialty interests in head and neck cancer and microvascular reconstruction, complex facial trauma, orthognathic, TMJ, salivary, dentoalveolar, pediatric, and craniofacial surgery: 6 registrars, 10 DCTs, and 8 specialty dentists.

Duties Will Include
- Management of inpatients including post-op and acute admissions
- Independent minor ops lists
- Operating theatre and outpatient clinics
- Discussions with relatives
- Initiation/change of treatment
- Participation in the on-call rota
