Job Overview
This role provides medical cover for the Chemotherapy day unit and supports Oncology clinics and the Acute Oncology Service. The post holder will work closely with colleagues to ensure service runs smoothly and efficiently.
Main duties of the job
- Provide medical cover for the chemotherapy unit
- Support the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) and assess patients with SACT toxicities
- Assess any patient attending the chemotherapy unit who is unwell
- Responsible for appropriate documentation and communication of plan with treating team

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for managing their own workload, prioritising and ensuring deadlines are met. The main aim is to provide medical cover for the Chemotherapy Day unit and support the oncology clinics and AOS team. They will be expected to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to high standards. The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills.
