Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Princess Alexandra Hospital, we are looking for a Trust Middle Grade doctor (ST4-ST8) for parental leave cover to complement our existing middle grade rota including contribution to the on-call rota. The candidate's will provide care to a variety of different clinical areas Paediatric Emergency Department, Same day emergency care, Dolphin Paediatric ward, Neonatal Unit, Postnatal ward as well as the Outpatients department. They will have access to consultant support at all times.
Main Duties of the Job
The main responsibilities of the post will include the day to day management of sick children, infants and neonates helped by the nursing staff and senior house officer under the direct supervision of the Consultant Paediatricians.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The successful applicants will be expected to join the other doctors in covering the middle grade rota for Dolphin ward/ Paediatric A&E, NICU/ Postnatal wards and Out-patient clinics (supervised). This will involve working a mixture of normal days, Long days and nights on a rolling rota basis. They will be responsible to timely patient review and discharge with appropriate senior support. The Department has a very active Audit and Governance program that the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to by undertaking and presenting projects.
