Role Overview
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAH) is seeking a Locally Employed Doctor Registrar grade (LED) for our Geriatric Medicine department.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Care of the Elderly ward in-patients and resident doctors
- Manage outpatient clinics and ward referrals from other firms (with consultant supervision)
- Participate in the on-call rota covering Acute Take as well as Wards
- Conduct ward rounds with resident doctors, ensuring all patients are seen daily
- Develop leadership and supervision skills
- Act as a key link in coordinating resident doctor leave on the ward
- Ensure all patients are safely reviewed during any shortfalls
