Trust IT Manager | South West London
£50,000 - £60,000 + Future Progression
A growing education organisation is looking for an experienced Trust IT Manager to lead technology services across a group of schools in South West London.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT Manager, Senior IT Engineer, Lead Engineer or Technical Team Leader ready to take ownership of IT across multiple sites, rather than remaining focused on a single school or technical environment.
Initially overseeing around eight sites and a team of IT Engineers, you'll lead day-to-day service delivery while helping shape the wider technology strategy as the organisation continues to grow.
What You'll Do
- Lead IT services across multiple school sites, ensuring consistent and reliable support
- Manage, mentor and develop a team of IT Engineers
- Own infrastructure, networks, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID and Active Directory
- Oversee Windows, macOS, devices, classroom AV and educational technology
- Lead infrastructure, cloud, security and service improvement projects
- Develop the technology roadmap and work closely with school leadership teams
- Manage IT budgets, suppliers, licensing and third-party relationships
- Drive strong IT security, GDPR compliance and Cyber Essentials standards
- Act as the senior escalation point for technical and service issues

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
