Job Description: Trust Officer
Trident Trust is a leading independent provider of corporate, trust, and fund services to the financial services sector worldwide, employing over 1,100 staff across a global footprint that spans Africa, the Americas, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East.
Trident Trust is seeking a Trust Officer to join our London office. The Trust Officer will oversee a portfolio of trust structures, ensuring high standards of administration, compliance, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer a portfolio of trusts, including employee ownership trusts and companies and deliver trust and fiduciary services to clients.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, intermediaries, and advisors, delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships.
- Draft trustee resolutions, meeting agendas, and minutes, ensuring documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and maintained in accordance with internal procedures.
- Prepare loan note payment instructions and other trust-related documentation, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
- Coordinate distributions, asset transfers, and other trust transactions in line with legal and client instructions.
- Review trust deeds and associated legal documents, identifying key provisions and escalating matters requiring technical or legal consideration.

What We're Looking For
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Excellent client service and relationship management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Builds positive and respectful relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Takes ownership of responsibilities, delivering work accurately and meeting commitments.
- Applies initiative to identify solutions, improve processes, and enhance client service.

Qualifications & Experience
- Good standard of education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
- Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience in trust or fiduciary services.
- Strong understanding of trust and company law, AML/CFT regulations, and governance standards.
- STEP, ICSA, or equivalent professional qualification (or working towards).
