Trust Tax Adviser

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Adviser to join our Trusts Team delivering a quality compliance service to our Trust clients and providing a broad range of tax advice.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Trust Tax Adviser to join our expanding team in either our Grantham, Boston, Stamford, or Boston office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with experience in trusts and estates to work with a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, trustees, and family offices.

What does this role involve?

As a Trust Tax Adviser you will provide specialized advice on trust taxation and compliance matters, helping clients navigate tax legislation while delivering practical solutions.

Teamwork

You will work closely with colleagues across our advisory teams and the business, sharing expertise and contributing to delivering high-quality solutions. We value collaboration, open communication, and have a supportive team culture.

Skills and experience

We encourage candidates of all backgrounds and capabilities to apply, although it’s essential that your values and experience align with this role’s key responsibilities. To be successful you will have experience of:

  • Review Trust Tax Returns
  • Assist in the completion of tax returns

For the right candidate, there will be the opportunity to manage your own portfolio of trust clients.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the provision of tax advice for our trust clients, examples of which include:

  • Advising clients on the tax implications of making distributions
  • Advising on planning opportunities ahead of 10-year anniversaries
  • Advising on winding up trusts

  • Experience in trust and estate taxation, ideally gained within practice or a specialist advisory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK trust tax legislation and compliance requirements.
  • ATT, CTA, STEP, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification or qualified by experience
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
