Trust-wide School Improvement Partner (Assistant Headteacher) (Ref: SBMAT443)

REQUIRED TO START: January 2027
Location: Trust-Wide, based in Wolverhampton, Stafford or Walsall dependent upon the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be based at a location that best reflects their experience, expertise and geographical location. This will be discussed and agreed during the appointment process. Regular travel across multiple Trust schools will be required.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, highly driven leader to join our Central School Improvement Team and play a pivotal role in raising standards across our growing Trust.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced middle or senior leader seeking to influence educational outcomes beyond a single school. Working alongside school leaders and the Trust's School Improvement Team, the successful candidate will support the development, implementation and evaluation of evidence-informed strategies that improve teaching, learning, inclusion, curriculum and leadership across our schools.
The role combines direct school improvement support with strategic Trust-wide development. It offers dedicated time for professional enquiry, engagement with current educational research and the design of initiatives that can be implemented at both school and Trust level. The successful candidate will help ensure that our approaches remain innovative, evidence-informed and focused on improving outcomes for all pupils.
The successful candidate will:
- Raise standards in quality-first teaching through coaching, planning support, implementation guidance and modelling highly effective practice.
- Support school leaders in curriculum design, implementation and evaluation.
- Audit provision, identify strengths and priorities, and contribute to precise improvement planning.
- Develop and support subject, phase and middle leaders to strengthen leadership capacity across the Trust.
- Design, deliver and evaluate high-quality professional development and training for staff at all levels.
- Research, develop and implement evidence-informed initiatives that address key Trust priorities and improve outcomes for pupils.
- Work collaboratively with leaders across schools to develop and refine Trust-wide approaches, systems and resources.
- Evaluate the impact of school improvement initiatives and use findings to inform future strategic development.
- Contribute to the development of innovative practice through engagement with current educational research and professional networks.
- Support the Trust's commitment to inclusion, ensuring all pupils receive the highest quality educational experience.
