Trustee Opportunity

Help shape the future of The Thursford Collection through your expertise, influence strategic decisions, and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

The Thursford Collection is seeking to appoint new Trustees to join our Board and help guide the future of one of Norfolk's most unique and celebrated charitable organisations.

……

Home to the world-famous Thursford Christmas Spectacular, one of Europe's most significant collections of steam engines and mechanical organs, and a range of much-loved visitor attractions, The Thursford Collection brings together heritage, arts, education and entertainment on a truly remarkable scale.

……

For fifty years, our charity has inspired audiences, preserved nationally important heritage, celebrated the performing arts and created unforgettable experiences for millions of visitors. What began as one man's passion for preserving steam heritage has grown into an organisation that touches the lives of people of all ages, from across Norfolk and far beyond.

……

As we look towards the future, we are seeking passionate, forward-thinking individuals who can help safeguard our legacy, support our charitable missions and contribute to the continued success of this extraordinary organisation.

The Opportunity

You do not need previous trustee experience to apply. Many successful trustees bring skills and experience gained through their professional careers, businesses, community involvement or leadership roles. If you have the ability to think strategically, ask insightful questions and contribute positively to discussion and decision-making, we would love to hear from you.

This is a voluntary, non-executive position, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to an organisation you can be proud of, while gaining valuable governance and board-level experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
