About Power to Live Foundation
UK mental-health charity (income <£100k), specialising in evidence-based behavioural treatments, moving from a successful 5-year pilot to a scalable, financially resilient organisation. Help shape the future of Power to Live Foundation. We are seeking skilled professionals to join our Board of Trustees in the following voluntary positions:
Treasurer Trustee:
Board-level finance leadership to guide financial governance with strategic business development, and turn our pilot into a long-term strategy.
Strategic Fund-Raising Trustee:
Develop and oversee the charity's long-term fundraising and income generation strategy. Connect your professional network to facilitate warm introductions to funders, corporate partners, philanthropists, and influential supporters who can help accelerate the charity's growth.

Key responsibilities (board-level)
- Fulfil the legal duties of a trustee and maintain financial oversight for the board (CC3). (GOV.UK)
- Lead financial strategy: minimum 3-year plan, budgets/forecasts, reserves policy, scenario, and cash flow modelling.
- Support the development of compelling funding propositions and ensure fundraising plans align with the charity's strategic objectives.
- Contribute to the charity's long-term sustainability by advising on growth opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure fundraising activities are ethical, compliant, and aligned with Charity Commission guidance and fundraising best practice.
- Fulfil the legal duties and responsibilities of a charity trustee, contributing to effective governance and strategic decision-making.

Person spec
- Senior finance experience (charity/SaaS/SME); qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) desirable.
- Evidence of building lightweight controls and forecasting in small orgs.
- Governance/risk savvy; clear communicator; values-aligned with access to therapy.
- An appreciation for the importance of quality treatment, demonstrated through lived-experience with mental health is a bonus.
Practicalities
- Term: 3 years (renewable).
- Location/meetings: Remote-first; 2 meetings a year, with additional check-ins (approx. 1/2 hours per month depending on your level of involvement, subject to projects)
- Remuneration: Voluntary; reasonable expenses reimbursed.
