Amberley Museum Trustee Opportunity
Amberley Museum is a site like no other, with vintage buses, working exhibits, historic crafts, and a narrow-gauge railway in the heart of the South Downs. We are looking for a Trustee with commercial experience to join our proactive board supporting the work of this unique open-air museum.
What difference will you make?
As a trustee with commercial skills and experience, you can support the Museum to develop its retail and catering offer, boosting the earned income brought in through the trading company, providing sustainability for the charity into the future.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a new Trustee with a particular knowledge or experience of retail and catering sales and operations. Marketing experience would also be helpful as well as a passion for heritage and the ability to think strategically, assess opportunities, and manage risk.
New Trustees may bring their knowledge and expertise from any of the public, private, or voluntary sectors, and we would like to hear from individuals with a wide range of perspectives and encourage applications from a broad spectrum of people.

What will you be doing?
We have a board of 12 Trustees who lead on the strategic direction of the Museum, bringing different strengths to the role.
We are seeking a commercial trustee with a passion for heritage and experience in retail and catering to provide hands-on support with developing plans to improve these areas of our operation.
All our trustees attend committee meetings where the detail of plans is determined, this can include chairing committee meetings and reporting back to the board.
