The Juno Project
The Juno Project exists to help young women of school age overcome challenges and reach their full potential. We do this through trauma-informed workshops in schools and in the community. Time and time again, parents and schools tell us they wish we could do more.
What difference will you make?
This is an exciting opportunity to make a huge difference to the lives of girls and young women. 75% of the young women we support have one or more adverse childhood experience and 95% have poor school attendance; without the right support, and the right tools, many of them will leave school unable to grow beyond their trauma and to reach their potential, often leading to poor overall life outcomes and strain on health, social and community resources. Your drive and passion in attracting new sources of funding will play a vital part in our success and our growth.
You will be central to the development and monitoring of our fundraising strategy and review of our wider long-term strategic plans; help to develop organizational policies, profitable and fulfilling working relationships with the trustees, and the Chief Executive, through review and self-reflective evaluation of the contributions and effectiveness of the board.
In relation to the community, you will represent the organization as a spokesperson at appropriate events, meetings or functions and lead the Board in fostering relations with potential clients and potential funders/donors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

What will you be doing?
As a small charity, we are completely reliant on grant funders, while also trying to build out sustainable income streams. And this is where we need help. We would dearly like to have a finance/fundraising specialist join our Board, or someone with a finance/corporate background who can bring this expertise. The Board meets once every six weeks online, and trustee responsibilities are distributed evenly across our board. We have a marketing trustee and an education/safeguarding trustee in place already. If you want to make a real difference to young women, please consider joining the small, friendly team at The Juno Project.
