Fundraising Trustee
We are seeking a dynamic Fundraising Trustee to join our Board and help shape our income generation strategy. You will act as a strategic thought partner to the Board and executive team, ensuring our fundraising initiatives are effective, diversified, and aligned with our long-term mission.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and expertise on fundraising strategy, including digital campaigns, major donor cultivation, grants, and corporate partnerships.
- Guide and support the executive team in identifying new funding opportunities and income streams.
- Help monitor fundraising performance against targets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., Fundraising Regulator, data protection).
- Act as an ambassador for the charity, using your network to connect us with potential partners and supporters.

What We’re Looking For
Strategic Fundraising Expertise
- A proven track record in strategic fundraising, business development, or income generation, such as corporate partnerships, trust and foundation grants, major donor cultivation, or digital campaigns.
Growth & Innovation
- Ability to spot new revenue opportunities and design sustainable funding models that support long-term organisational expansion.
Ambassadorship
- Willingness to leverage your professional networks, open doors to key stakeholders, and advocate for our mission across sectors.
Governance & Board-Level Leadership
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to operate effectively at a governance level, guiding, scrutinising, and championing overarching strategy rather than managing day-to-day delivery.
- Ethical & Compliance Oversight: Understanding of charity finance, fundraising regulations, risk management, and ethical standards.
- Constructive Support: Good judgment and strong interpersonal skills to provide constructive challenge, mentorship, and advice to executive leadership and staff.

Desirable Criteria
- Prior experience as a trustee or board member (first-time trustees with relevant expertise are also encouraged to apply).
- Familiarity with grant-making or grassroots community funding landscapes.
