We are looking for a passionate and committed Trustee to join the Board of a children’s charity supporting autistic children and their families.

What are we looking for?
We would particularly welcome applications from people who have experience working with children and families within one or more of the following areas:
- Autism and neurodiversity
- Early years / early childhood
- NHS services
- Children's social care
- Children's health services
- Education / SEND
- Health visiting or community services
- Speech and language / occupational therapy or other allied health professions
- Local authority children's services
- Family support services
- Early intervention and early help

What will you be doing?
As a Trustee, you will work collectively with the Board to
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the charity.
- Help ensure the charity delivers its aims and objectives effectively.
- Use your professional experience to inform the development of services and programmes for autistic children and families.
- Contribute to discussions around early years, autism support, children's services, health, education and family wellbeing.
- Ensure the charity remains focused on achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
- Help the Board understand the challenges faced by autistic children and their families and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support on matters of Safeguarding and policy.
- Provide appropriate challenge, guidance and support to the charity's leadership team.
- Help ensure the charity operates effectively, ethically, and in accordance with its legal and regulatory responsibilities.
- Contribute to monitoring the charity's impact and quality of services.
- Support the development of partnerships with NHS services, local authorities, schools, early years settings and other organisations where appropriate.
- Act as an ambassador for the charity and help raise its profile and influence.
- Where appropriate, use your professional networks and experience to support the charity's development.
