Do you want to use your financial skills to help refugees and people seeking asylum rebuild their lives?
St Augustine's Centre is seeking a Trustee Treasurer to join our committed Board and help guide the future of our charity. This is a voluntary leadership role with a highly respected organisation that supports people seeking asylum and newly recognised refugees across Calderdale.
About the role
As Trustee Treasurer, you will play a key part in ensuring the charity remains financially sustainable, well governed and able to continue delivering vital services to those who need them most.

Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as Company Secretary
- Filing accounts and annual returns to Companies House and the Charity Commission
- Maintaining bank accounts and mandates
- Authorising payments and overseeing movement of funds
- Ensuring compliance with our governing documents (Memorandum and Articles of Association)
- Supporting the preparation of annual accounts
- Working with the Director on budgets and forecasts
- Supporting financial systems (including QuickBooks)
Who we're looking for
We're keen to hear from people with experience in:
- Finance or accounting
- Charity finance and governance
- Company secretarial responsibilities
- Strategic leadership and oversight

Time commitment
- Approximately 8 hours per month
- Four Board meetings per year (around 2 hours each)
- Participation in a Board sub-group
- Flexible involvement around your availability
