We are seeking an individual with the passion and skills to contribute towards our life-saving service and strategic direction. This role is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional seeking a leadership position.
What difference will you make?
Based on our financial projections, we anticipate preparing our accounts under the Tier 1 requirements of the new Charities SORP from 2026. We therefore require a Treasurer with a practical understanding of charity finance, including the Charities SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice), to guide this transition and ensure our ongoing compliance. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating this changing financial landscape and securing our future.

What are we looking for?
Essential Skills And Experience
- Experience in finances, bookkeeping, or accounting.
- A practical understanding of the Charities SORP and charity finance regulations.
- The ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information clearly to a diverse, non-financial audience.
- A strategic mindset with sound commercial judgment and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A passion for our mission and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Desirable
- Qualified accountant with demonstration of not-for-profit awareness and knowledge or equivalent proven senior-level financial management experience.
- Experience with accounting and payroll software packages (include Xero, Liberty Accounts, and BrightPay).
- Welsh language skills.

What will you be doing?
We are seeking a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. This is a key leadership role, critical to ensuring our financial resilience and strategic growth for the next chapter. You will be responsible for providing clear financial oversight and guidance, ensuring the charity’s resources are managed with integrity and foresight.
