Looking for a New Trustee Specialising in Children and Young People's Mental Health and Wellbeing
Looking for a new trustee specialising in children and young people's mental health and wellbeing to provide expert clinical and strategic guidance, oversee safe and effective service delivery, and ensure organisational governance of a small young people's mental health charity.
What Difference Will You Make?
This is a varied and worthwhile trustee role working with a small dedicated and enthusiastic team. As the Clinical Lead Trustee you will ensure that Joe’s Buddy Line always complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
It is an opportunity to bridge clinical practice with the voluntary sector while expanding your professional networks and contributing to a nationally critical cause.
What Are We Looking For?
Essential Skills/Experience
- A qualified child and adolescent psychiatrist, psychologist or senior clinician.
- Provide expert insight on youth mental health trends, clinical best practices, and policy developments from bodies like the NHS or Department of Health.
- Significant experience in clinical leadership or advisory roles, ideally within a charitable, healthcare, education or youth-focused setting.
- In-depth knowledge of mental health challenges facing children and young people, clinical best practices, and emerging trends in the sector.
- A passion for Joe’s Buddy Line mission and dedication to improving children youth mental health and wellbeing outcomes.
- A willingness to be available to staff for advice and enquiries on an ad hoc basis.
- Good communication and people management skills.

Joe's Buddy Line is a growing youth mental health charity, established in 2021. Working with schools, families and communities, we help children and young people develop the confidence, skills and support networks they need to thrive.
It is an exciting time to join us. We have recently refreshed our three-year business plan and are focused on strengthening our impact, growing our programmes, developing new partnerships and ensuring the charity's long-term sustainability.

We welcome applications from people with a range of backgrounds and experiences who share our commitment to improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
Trustee - Clinical Lead
A qualified mental health professional with experience of supporting children and young people, who can provide strategic guidance on mental health, safeguarding, programme development and emerging sector trends.
Trustee - Education (Primary School) Lead
An experienced primary education professional who can bring insight into the realities of primary education, helping to ensure our programmes and strategic plans remain relevant, effective and grounded in current practice.
Our trustees and charity ambassadors are passionate about helping Joe's Buddy Line grow and flourish, and we would love you to play a part in shaping our future and helping more young people feel heard, supported and able to thrive.
