About the Role
We are seeking a strategic Trustee to take a lead in our fundraising and marketing efforts. Help us support NEET, improve wellbeing and reduce social isolation of our communities. Expertise in business development, marketing and governance will help improve our growth and community impact.

By joining our board, you will increase our capacity to support youth development, our wellbeing services, and build a community that reduces social isolation in the surrounding villages and towns.
- Strategic Input in Fundraising and Business Development: Secure the essential resources we need to not only sustain our current programs but to launch new initiatives.
- Guidance in Marketing and Social Media: Amplify our voice, helping us connect with more people. We find that so many people who come to the farm comment "We never knew this existed".
- Strong Governance and Clear Strategic Direction: Critical to the farm's long-term success. Ultimately, your contribution will ensure our board operates effectively and efficiently, enabling our frontline team to focus on what they do best changing lives, growing food and building a more connected community.

What Are We Looking For?
The ideal candidate will have a strong, demonstrable background in business development and fundraising, coupled with expertise in social media and marketing. Most importantly, you must be passionate about our core mission.
Specific Requirements
- Fundraising & Business Development: Proven experience in developing sustainable income streams, securing funding, and identifying strategic growth opportunities for the organisation.
- Social Media & Marketing: The ability to guide our digital strategy, elevate our public profile, and ensure our campaigns effectively reach both donors and those who need our help.
- Governance: A solid understanding of board-level responsibilities, with the ability to provide clear strategic oversight, ensure compliance, and guide the charity safely through its next phase of growth.
What Will You Be Doing?
Our farm is dedicated to growing communities, improving mental health outcomes, and tackling social isolation within our community, as well as growing great food. We are currently looking to expand our services to reach more vulnerable individuals, especially young adults categorised as NEET. To achieve this, we need to significantly increase our income streams and raise our public profile.

As a trustee, you will play a leading role in shaping our overarching fundraising and marketing strategies. Working closely with our passionate and friendly board, you will help identify new business development opportunities and build sustainable income models that ensure our long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide our digital presence and social media outreach to ensure our message connects with potential donors and those who urgently need our support.
- Contribute to our overall board governance, ensuring we remain strategically focused, compliant, and financially resilient as we scale.
- Champion these areas at the board level. If you are passionate about transforming lives and want to use your commercial and marketing acumen to make a tangible difference, your skills will be greatly appreciated here.
