We are seeking a Trustee with a strong background in funding and grants and/or Finance. our income generation strategy. You will play a vital role in securing the future of our hub.

By guiding our long term funding roadmap, you’ll ensure we can successfully secure the capital needed for a permanent hub that hundreds of local families are already waiting for. Ultimately, you will be the bridge between our vision and its physical reality guaranteeing that neurodivergent families in Calderdale have a sustainable, sensory first sanctuary they can rely on for years to come.
What are we looking for?

- Experience: Proven track record in high level grant writing
- Commitment: Ability to attend board meetings and provide strategic guidance on financial matters.

What will you be doing?
As we prepare to open the first hub of its kind in Calderdale, we need a Fundraising and Grants Trustee to lead our strategy during this pivotal transition from a community project to a registered charity. You’ll be joining a board that currently blends professional expertise with deep lived experience, including a MAT CEO, an inclusion specialist, a academic publisher, a psychologist, and a chartered accountant. While we’ve seen incredible community momentum, our biggest challenge is moving from pilot funding to the significant capital and multi-year grants required to secure and fit out our permanent home.

In this role you will be guiding the board and founder on high level income diversification and ensuring our long term financial health. Rather than executing daily tasks, you will be the strategic lead for our fundraising roadmap, helping us navigate major grant cycles and opening doors to high level corporate partnerships. We’ve had thousands of families and professionals join our community in just six months, proving the demand is there; we now need you to help us build the strategic framework to meet it.
This is a chance to be a foundational part of a "sensory first sanctuary" that will change the lives of thousands of families who currently have nowhere to go. You’ll be the architect of the financial engine that makes this dream a reality for the neurodivergent and disabled community in West Yorkshire.
