Looking for a New Trustee with Extensive Primary School Experience
Looking for a new trustee with extensive primary school experience to share their knowledge and experience of the sector's curriculum, child development, and classroom realities to help plan our long-term goals and educational projects.
What Difference Will You Make?
This is a varied and worthwhile trustee role working with a small dedicated and enthusiastic team. It's a chance to use your teaching skills outside the classroom to change children's lives whilst gaining hands-on experience in charity leadership, governance, and strategy.
Help us to champion current primary school educational thinking throughout the organisation and build positive relationships with local schools and teachers.
What Are We Looking For?
Essential Skills/Experience
- Min 5 years’ experience working in a primary school setting as a teaching professional
- Good understanding of the primary national curriculum and assessment methods
- Self-motivation
- IT literate
- Good communication and people management skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience
- Knowledge of mental health issues particularly in relation to children and young people
- Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) or inclusive teaching is a bonus.

What Will You Be Doing?
Joe's Buddy Line is a growing youth mental health charity, established in 2021. Working with schools, families and communities, we help children and young people develop the confidence, skills and support networks they need to thrive.
It is an exciting time to join us. We have recently refreshed our three-year business plan and are focused on strengthening our impact, growing our programmes, developing new partnerships and ensuring the charity's long-term sustainability.
We are currently recruiting two new trustees to help shape this next phase of our journey. Previous trustee experience is not required. We welcome applications from people with a range of backgrounds and experiences who share our commitment to improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.

Trustee - Clinical Lead
A qualified mental health professional with experience of supporting children and young people, who can provide strategic guidance on mental health, safeguarding, programme development and emerging sector trends.
Trustee - Education (Primary School) Lead
An experienced primary education professional who can bring insight into the realities of primary education, helping to ensure our programmes and strategic plans remain relevant, effective and grounded in current practice.
Our trustees and charity ambassadors are passionate about helping Joe's Buddy Line grow and flourish, and we would love you to play a part in shaping our future and helping more young people feel heard, supported and able to thrive.
