Iron Guidance Limited is a local charity that supports young people and their families across Tees Valley. The organization designs and delivers bespoke projects in schools and the wider community, tailored to local needs. These initiatives aim to enhance educational achievement, promote wellbeing, and build essential life skills. Iron Guidance Limited works collaboratively with educators, families, and other partners to create inclusive, practical support. The charity is committed to empowering young people to reach their potential and improve long-term outcomes.
Role Description
This is a volunteer Trustee role based on-site in Stockton-On-Tees. Trustees provide strategic oversight, help shape the charity’s direction, and ensure that services for young people and families remain effective and sustainable.

Responsibilities

- Attending board meetings
- Reviewing reports and policies
- Contributing to decision-making on projects and funding
- Supporting good governance and risk management
- Acting as ambassadors for the charity
- Building relationships with local stakeholders
- Offering guidance on community needs
The role involves working closely with other board members and the leadership team to uphold the charity’s values and legal responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Ability to contribute to charity governance, including oversight of strategy, risk, and compliance.
- Experience or strong interest in education, youth work, community development, or family support.
- Skills in communication, collaboration, and relationship-building with diverse stakeholders.
- Capacity to interpret reports and financial information to support sound decision-making.
- Commitment to equality, inclusion, safeguarding, and the welfare of young people.
- Willingness to attend regular meetings in Stockton-On-Tees and actively engage in board activities.
- Prior trustee or board experience is beneficial but not essential; training and support can be provided.
