Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Chance to Shine’s fundraising team and help shape the next phase of our growth. The Trusts and Foundations Officer is responsible for securing and growing income from charitable trusts and foundations through the development of funding applications, effective stewardship, and high-quality reporting. The role offers the chance to build funder relationships, contribute to ambitious fundraising plans, and play a key part in enabling more young people to access the life-changing opportunities cricket can provide.
The role would suit a dynamic fundraiser looking to develop their skills and knowledge within an established and ambitious charity.
You may already be working in fundraising or the charity sector, but we would also encourage applicants from other sectors with transferable skills to apply for this position. You could come from a communications, marketing, research, bid writing or relationship management background. If you are a strong writer, enjoy building relationships, can make sense of different types of information and are organised in managing deadlines and detail, many of your skills could transfer well into this role.
This is a London Office based contract. A minimum of two days a week in the office would be required with the option to work from home on the other days. The role holder will need to be flexible as and when they are required to attend meetings, events, mostly in London but elsewhere around the country.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
