You will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of projects, acting as a key contact for clients while coordinating the work of junior colleagues. The successful candidate will combine strong financial analysis with commercial judgement and the ability to produce clear, high-quality reports with limited senior review.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join a growing financial advisory team and gain exposure to a broad range of corporate transactions, funding situations, and business-critical assignments. The position offers:

  • Ownership of projects from initial scoping through to final delivery.
  • Direct interaction with company directors, lenders, investors, and management teams.
  • Exposure to due diligence, valuations, modelling, and business-review engagements.
  • The opportunity to develop junior colleagues and contribute to the growth of the team.
  • Greater involvement in proposals, networking, and business development.
  • A clear platform for continued progression within financial advisory.
  • The chance to work closely with experienced partners and senior advisers.

Responsibilities and Duties

Project Delivery

  • Establish the scope, timetable, and staffing requirements for each assignment.
  • Attend initial client meetings and support the development of the project approach.
  • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining agreed deadlines and service standards.
  • Act as the principal day-to-day contact for clients, target businesses, and other advisers.
  • Build productive relationships with management teams and understand their commercial objectives.
  • Analyse historical trading results, quality of earnings, working capital, and cash generation.
  • Review financial forecasts and challenge the assumptions supporting projected performance.
  • Assess short-term and weekly cash-flow forecasts where relevant.
  • Develop and review financial models, valuations, and supporting analytical schedules.
  • Identify material financial, operational, and commercial issues and communicate them promptly.
  • Prepare clear, commercially focused reports covering financial due diligence, lender due diligence, independent business reviews, valuations, and modelling assignments.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and contribute to key areas of management meetings.
  • Coordinate valuation research and work alongside internal research specialists when required.
  • Ensure all deliverables are accurate, insightful, and suitable for the intended audience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
